How to Become a Fairfield Cares
Helpful Village Volunteer

We are delighted that you wish to volunteer for Fairfield Cares Helpful Village. The Volunteer application process provides security for our Members and Volunteers and helps us match Volunteers to their areas of interest and people they can help.


To become a Volunteer, you will need an appointment with a Volunteer Manager. They will walk you through all the steps. It should take about half an hour. 

Here's how to make an appointment

You can email us at [email protected] and we'll call you back. 


During the call the Volunteer Manager will explain the information you will have to have on hand during the appointment.

They will also send you a link to the On Line Volunteer Application Form so that you can fill that out before the appointment.


What will happen at the appointment

The Volunteer Manager will call you on the phone at the agreed upon time.

They will be there the whole time to guide you through the process. And answer any questions.

It's better for you to use a computer when filling out the required forms. It's much harder to do it on a smart phone. Also your phone will be in use talking to the Volunteer Manager. 


Volunteer Orientation and Training

Every Helpful Village volunteer must participate in a training and orientation program. This program will explain the dos and don'ts of how to work with Members as a Fairfield Cares Helpful Village volunteer. We will contact you about the time and place of this event.
